Abby Gerrity
Abby Gerrity is licensed in Louisiana in all state and federal courts,
and she devotes her practice to general civil litigation matters for parties
on both sides of the bench in areas including family and domestic law,
personal injury, workers’ compensation, constitutional and civil
rights, sexual harassment, defamation, insurance coverage, and insurance
defense. Abby began working with the firm as a Law Clerk during law school,
and remained with the firm for much of her 3L year. After graduation,
Abby worked for a mid-size gulf south firm, where she represented businesses
and insurance companies, and gained substantial courtroom experience while
primarily litigating workers’ compensation matters.
Abby earned both her B.A. and J.D. degrees from Tulane University. While
in law school, Abby was elected the Executive Editor of the Tulane Journal
of International & Comparative Law, and won academic awards for earning
the highest grade in her Torts II, Gender Law & Public Policy, and
Civil Law Torts classes. She graduated law school Cum Laude, in the top
15% of her class, and with a Civil Law Certificate. In her free time,
Abby enjoys painting and spending time with her wonderful husband, Joe,
and their sassy Siberian Husky.
