Marynell L. Piglia
Marynell L. Piglia practices general civil litigation, family law and employment law. She
has extensive experience representing clients in commercial litigation,
breach of contract disputes and all types of family law matters. Her employment
law practice includes providing representation in all types of cases,
such as discrimination, sexual harassment, ERISA, workers’ compensation,
and other state and federal law claims. She has successfully tried numerous
cases before juries and judges, and has presented oral arguments in Louisiana
federal and state courts. MS. Piglia is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell,
the highest attorney peer rating available. She has also served for many
years as an assistant bar examiner.
Ms. Piglia earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Southeastern
Louisiana University, where she was the recipient of a President’s
Medal for Academic Excellence. At SLU she was the editor of the university
newspaper and president of Phi Mu sorority. Her law degree was earned
at Loyola University, where she served on the Loyola Law Review, was chair
of the Moot Court Board, and was a member of the Moot Court teaching staff.
Ms. Piglia is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and is admitted
to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana.
